Much of the work that we do requires time, resources, and a commitment from our staff, volunteers and and Board of Directors to achieve our goals.  With your support, we can reach children, youth and their families to provide much-needed services in disadvantaged communities across the Greater Toronto Area. It is our priority to to fill the gaps and provide relevant resources to families through educational consultation, advocacy, counselling, workshops and much more.

What we've recently done:

• Empowered families through our Educational Consulting Podcasts:When to Suspect Something is Going on at School, and How to Review your Child's Report Card to promote self-advocacy in children and parents

• Educated and informed families through our community workshop on Progressive Discipline in School and Discipline in our Homes

• Partnered with community agencies to provide ongoing Consultation and Referral Services

• Conducted a series of online video streaming through our social media platforms specifically on Instagram where we host Real Talk Tuesday Community Conversations that are culturally appropriate and relevant

• Developed a Mental Health Campaign for Youth; Feed Your Mind to promote healthy eating with our current Ryerson placement students

• Filmed with Working Ontario Women News to discuss issues in Ontario re: Child care and Public Education 

 

Mentorship youth programs, ongoing parenting workshops, and new relevant community initiatives are some of what we plan to offer students and their families in the coming months. You can join us by offering a monthly or a one-time donation to assist us.
